This one isn't sad like the other ones were. Just weird. I took this from an entry I made a year ago (actually Sept. 27, 2004).
The Northern VA Korean-American Girls Chronicles
Story #3: "The Denise Girl"
Denise? Yeah, I think every Korean-American guy in northern VA knew Denise.
I've dated my fair share of girls, but this one was the only one whose behavior could be said to be "unstable." She went to Open Door Presbyterian Church for a while, but I met her after she quit going there. She had quit going there before I started going there. (I don't go there anymore except occasionally.)
I met Denise about two years ago at this friend's birthday party. She was quite an attractive girl, though she was quite thin (you could imagine playing a board game on her with maybe two tiny bumps in the road). We hit it off okay and were kind of giving each other the eye throughout the night.
We eventually ended up going out for a date a few days later at some Japanese sushi place near Tyson's Corner. I had my fair share of white wine (my Kryptonite) with the food, and she did as well. We ended up leaving the place at closing. We were the last two customers there at the time. She kept getting phone calls related to her consulting work on her cell phone, even when we were standing under the protective awning to stay dry from the rain, which was pouring like mad.
After she got off the phone for like the tenth time, she apologized. I said it was fine. After saying I had a good time, I leaned over and kissed her on her cheek. She smiled, said I was sweet, and kissed me back on my cheek. Then, when I should have stopped, I went to peck her on her lips - only to be met by her mouth trying to eat my entire face (grammar edit made after post was written).
After several minutes of making out in the rain (without really getting drenched), we went to her car. I swear to God, the girl has to listen to Sting when she kisses. And I'm not saying I'm the world's most perfect gentleman, but I actually started reaching for the door handle to get out. But everytime I did this, she would take my hand away from the door handle and put my hand - on herself, ALL over herself. I remember kinda talking during the whole time:
Me: "You know, it's not often I make out to Sting, " *Ahm* (talking muffled by long, wet kiss from Denise). "I really liked Sting during his Police days." *Ahmmmm* (talking again muffled by long kiss from her). "Synchronicity is a great album." *Ahmm* (more attempts by her to eat my face) "I like the song that wasn't a big hit, 'Synchronicity II.' It was better than 'Every Breath You Take.'" *Ahmmm* Then she really shut me up for like the next several minutes.
After a while, in between wet kisses, she kept saying with her eyes closed, "<My name>, what do you feel like doing?"
I replied, "Ooooh, I don't know."
She kept on going seductively, "It's okay. Tell me what you want. It's okay."
"Well, I'm kinda uncomfortable kissing you here in the car. It feels kinda awkward."
"So, what do you want. Tell me! It's okay." She still had her eyes closed while kissing me.
"Well, my place is a mile from here. You wanna just go there?"
Then she pulled herself away, stood upright, looked into my face all formally and said, "<My name>, I'm a traditional Korean girl!"
I was like "Huh?" Anyway, the above scene happened like three more times the rest of the time in the car, with her kissing me, asking me what I wanted to do, then her acting all offended when I suggested we make out in a place more comfortable than her car. What a weird girl! I ended up going home alone.
Anyway, last I heard, Denise moved up to New York. I guess her reputation in VA was already soiled enough.
But just when I thought I had heard the last of her, I ended up going out with this one other girl sorta recently (note: keep in mind this entry was written in 2004). She asked me who I knew in the area. I said I knew this person and that person. She asked if I had dated in the area much. I said I had dated a little and that most of the people I had met were cool and nice - except for one person who clearly had psychological problems. I described Denise and mentioned her first name. The girl got a funny not-so-pleasant look on her face, and it turned out that she was close friends with Denise. She told me she had heard similar things from other guys in VA, but that she didn't want to know this about her. Anyway, that date never really got anywhere after that.
Additional note and update: I heard recently from a friend of Denise's that she is still living in NY and still screwing around.
